Today's Flowers

A few flowers from our outing yesterday to White Rock, B.C.
There were lots of curb-side flower beds with spring flowers in each. Daffodils are all over right now, with tulips starting to make their appearance in flower beds.
A tulip for you. As well as the curb-side flower beds there were lots of container gardens up and down the street as well.
You can smell the sweet scent of Hyacinth's before you see them. Purple pansies as well.
I am not sure what this particular flower is, its petals were a bit waxy feeling and thicker giving them a feeling of substance. They almost looked like leaves rather than flowers.

Lovely flower shots. That bottom one might be Hellebore or helleborus. They grow well in shade and bloom very, very early. Their lovely flowers always nod downwards.

All lovely specimens. You live in a beautiful part of our planet so I'm sure you will have many flowers for the next several months. Thanks for sharing these.

Beautiful spring captures. Your bottom capture is a helleborus. They come in all different varietities. I have a white one and a deep burgendy one in my garden.
