For Today...

Outside my window...The last of the day light is fading, its warm though and muggy out.

I am thinking... What a great day I had exploring the zoo today, all the fresh air and friends to spend it with...

From the kitchen... Finished cleaning up after supper, homemade Corn Chowder with Shrimp! Yum!!

I am wearing... Blue Yoga Pants, a tank top and white socks.

I am reading... A few Digital Photography Magazines I borrowed from the library.

I am hoping... We fly through our Accreditation process at work with flying colours.

I am creating... Another blog post for my blog of course!!

Around the house... The cat is sleeping on the couch and hubby is working on his business plan. I am trying to be quiet and not disturb his thoughts!

One of my favorite things... Taking pictures, figuring out more about my camera lately!

A few plans for the rest of the week...Making it through the work week and waiting on the weekend!!

A picture I would like to share.... was taken today on our visit to the Vancouver Zoo. This is a picture of the baby Giraffe, I just loved his shy look and his long eyelashes!!

I forgot to add it before starting this so I know it will go to the top of the post. I guess I am backwards this week!!

A Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY

Outside my window..... its dark out. It was a beautiful sunny warm day today and now its a warm slightly cloudy evening.

I am thinking.... of all I have to finish tomorrow at work. The price of four extra days off means the work kind of piles up!

I am thankful for...... having this house to share with my husband. A cozy place to come home to.

From the kitchen.... is Pasta with Eggplant Tomato Sauce and Sirloin Steak. Enough to to take to work tomorrow for lunch! Yum!!

I am wearing..... Black Yoga Pants and a grey sweater. And socks!

I am reading..... A how to book on Digital Photoshop. I will learn this skill someday!

I am hoping the weatherman is wrong about tomorrow and the rain stays away. One more day of sun please!!

I am hearing..... My hubby watching TV in the living room.

Around the house...... Outside are lots of signs of coming Spring. I saw a Hummingbird yesterday, crocuses and daffodils are showing in the garden, the grass is getting green. I want to get out in my yard and play!!

One of my favorite things..... Is climbing into a nicely made bed with a book and reading before snuggling down and going to sleep.

A few plans for the rest of the week..... Just work and Friday off again. Nothing earth shattering here this week.

A picture I thought I would share with you.... This is my Cat Speed. He is an indoor cat and managed to get outside yesterday. I thought he was sleeping upstairs so did not miss him for a couple of hours. Last time he made the big escape he was gone four days and came back injured. So I was very happy and thankful to find him outside right away and bring him home. I am so grateful he is safe. FOR TODAY (Jan. 27)
Outside my window...I am watching the snow fall. Its beautiful and its white and fluffy and it is supposed to be rain!!

I am thinking...of what my next word is going to be on my online game of Scrabble with my uncle. I can sure tell he has been practising, he is a lot better at this than I seem to be!!

I am thankful for...This computer that is keeping me in touch with people like my uncle whom I don't get to see but through the computer can keep in touch with him and play a game or two!

From the kitchen...I just cleaned up the remnants of lunch which actually was the remnants from supper last night. Just some pizza but I think pizza is even better the next day cold.

I am wearing...My really plush white terry cloth robe and my fur lined moccasins. I have not even got dressed for the day yet!

I am creating...some Scrabbulous memories!!

I am going...to go later on today and watch Oprah on TV and walk on the treadmill for my daily shot of exercise.

I am reading...The second book of the Twilight series. So far so good!!

I am hoping...It quits snowing soon and clears up. Spring has to be around the corner.

I am hearing...the soft sounds of a Audio Book my hubby is listening to right now.

Around the house...All is quiet and calm.

One of my favorite things...Is being safe at home and not out on the slippery roads when the weather is as white as it is now.

A few plans for the rest of the week:Hopefully to make it to work on Thursday.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...Its a cute picture that came in an e-mail today and I though it conveyed my winter snow blues sentiments very well. It made me smile anyways.
