A couple of photos I took last summer at Minter Gardens, and as I sit and watch the snow fall outside I am really wishing that it was only last week that I took these pictures. Snow is pretty to see but I really don't like it.

So here is to memories of warmer dryer greener times!

My camera is the only thing that gets me this close to bees, I am allergic to their stings so getting close is taking a chance!

These tiny pink flowers grew in clusters, not at all sure the name of these flowers though.

Skywatch Friday

These photos were taken on Jan. 1 at the White Rock Beach during the Polar Bear Swim. If you want to check out those photos they are in the past couple of posts.

These are flocks of Canadian Geese flying over the beach

The sky was blue with wispy strips of clouds. The day was cold!

A couple of geese off the the right seem to be flying to the beat of their own wings!

Watery Wednesday meets Midweek Blues

On New Year's Day, we went out to White Rock to see the Polar Bear Swim. I posted a bunch of pictures of crazy fools jumping into the ocean on a freezing cold day in the middle of winter! What kind of ritual would get someone to do that!!!

After the event we also took photos of others at the beach, so here is one of those for you!

Macro Monday

Yesterday, while in White Rock to see the Polar Bear Swim, we went into the local Tea Shop and I found this beautiful Teapot with Creamer and Sugar Bowl. I had already bought the Mug a while ago so decided it was time for a treat and I bought the rest of the set! I also ordered the Rectangular tray that goes with the set and will get it when it comes in.

Straight out of the Camera Sunday

Yesterday, we went out to the White Rock Beach to see the Annual Polar Bear Swim in the ocean. I can't fathom why anyone would want to go swimming in the ocean in the middle of winter, but it sure was fun to see! I took a lot of pictures of the event, here are a few of them for you!

Some people went out of the water faster than they went in!

People ran and dived right in. I guess they got over the shock of the cold faster that way.

The huge white rock that the name for the Beach and Town came from. It is a magnet for people to climb!

Loved this couple. They were so into eating thier hotdogs no matter what was going on around them. Like the train speeding past them behind them!
