My Sweet Magnolia

I found these little beauties blooming at one of the parks here in town. Spring has been very slow in coming here, and it's snowing right now as I type this so hopefully these little blooms aren't too affected by that.
Maybe all this snow is Nature's April Fools Day Joke on all of us!!

Today's Flowers

As we slowly tip into September, the gardens at Minter Gardens are at the most colourful they have been since Spring.
Gazebo in the center of the Rose Garden.

The huge peacock's feathers are all flowers.

This garden, left side, was spectacular.

Right side.

Today's Flowers

My hubby and I went out to Van Duesen Gardens in Vancouver yesterday to see the Zimbabwe Stone Carving Displays through the gardens. I only took a few photos of the flowers there, mostly the statues which I will feature in the next few days.
Here are some of the flowers I saw, and I only know the names of a couple of them so please feel free to put names to the others!

This flower was a bee magnet!

Hollyhocks, love the blood red colour!

Purple Alium.

Not sure what this or the next photo is!

Today's Flowers

Daffodils are blooming everywhere, and here we also celebrate their arrival with a Daffodil Festival.
View from behind!

I never knew there were as many varieties of daffodils as there are.

These yellow daffodils are very common. Can you see the little bug on the daffodil trumpet?

Macro Monday

Cherry Blossoms are everywhere and I have taken a bunch of photos of them already. I decided to try and see how many photos I could make out of one actual photo of Cherry Blossoms. So here are five photos for you!

This photo below is the original photo I cut all the other photos from.

And I am kind of into practising with High Key Photography since learning about it the other day, so hope these qualify for it.
