Blurred Perspective.

I have been loving the colors of Autumn that are on display right now. The yellows, the oranges and especially the reds. I loved the way the light shone on the leaves. It was golden light, that hour of the evening where the magic happens. My shutter speed was high and caught the leaves so that the huge wind we were having this day was not blowing at all.
I kind of missed the wind though and the effect of movement and the blur that comes with that, so I put the blur back! Kind of like it!

I've been looking around for some pictures of rocks and water lately to make myself a screen saver and these are a couple of shots from that series. I was inspired by a poster my Brother has in his office. These were taken at Rolley Lake in one of the small rivers that feed into the lake.

The creek was not as swollen with rain water as they are right now, offering a bit of texture from the surface of the water and the rocks below.

Lowly Hummingbird

This tiny Hummingbird never leaves the area for winter. You can go down to Mill Lake Park and see him hanging out on the tree branches at the side of the lake. The people living next to the lake feed him through the winter. I think he is too comfortable to fly south for winter.
