I've been looking around for some pictures of rocks and water lately to make myself a screen saver and these are a couple of shots from that series. I was inspired by a poster my Brother has in his office. These were taken at Rolley Lake in one of the small rivers that feed into the lake.

The creek was not as swollen with rain water as they are right now, offering a bit of texture from the surface of the water and the rocks below.

GREEN

Have you ever had one of those days where the list of things is about as long as both your arms combined, and right from the get go, things start to go south? Mine started early this morning when I had to wake up the Bear to move his car so I could go out for an appointment, and his car would not start. Fast forward a bit and the tow truck hauled that away to the repair shop. So on with the day. And such a long one. It ended about ten minutes ago.
As one of my client's would say to me, I am "Zausted."
That is Exhausted in her vocabulary!
Just want a comfy place to sit and rest.
Even this carved tree would do I think!
The quiet calming green of the forest.
It was one of those days that when Plan A failed, Plan B or Plan C had to be dreamed up to save the moment. Kind of like a fork in the path, which one is the best to take?
So tired now at the end of the day, that it is even hard to focus. I yawn so big that things are out of focus.
I am off to bed, I think I could sleep around the clock!
Good Night, All.

Lowly Hummingbird

This tiny Hummingbird never leaves the area for winter. You can go down to Mill Lake Park and see him hanging out on the tree branches at the side of the lake. The people living next to the lake feed him through the winter. I think he is too comfortable to fly south for winter.

NEW LOGO I
A few of the Spring Flowers blooming right now.

Some of the Cherry Blossoms. These are mostly gone now, the blooming season just about done.
Its Daffodil season right now and the Tulips are green and getting ready to bloom.
Shadows on the petals no matter how much or little sun there is!
Tiny Pansies. Got to love Pansy faces!
Everyday you see signs of Spring, more Spring flowers blossoming.

Project 52 - Things that Grow

project 52 p52 weekly photo challenge my3boybarians.com
Kind of scary looking, right?
Actually this baby Garter Snake came slithering across my path and was only about a foot or so long. Any bigger and I might of screamed like a girl and ran the other way.
This little guy though has a lot of growing to do before it could make me totally lose it and run screaming into the night!!
After I got over my shock of seeing him and actually wanted to take more photos of him, he instead just wanted to get the heck away from me as fast as he could slither!
